Meet the Ruljic Family

Leading up to Family Day, we’re featuring Stories of Strength from our RMH families, both in the House and back at home.

For the Ruljics from Victoria BC, strength runs in the family, and this strength has been tested more than most people can imagine in the past few months.

Nicole and Nenad Ruljic were serving the community as front line workers in November 2020 when their 2.5-year-old son was diagnosed with leukemia – and they had to leave for Vancouver right away.

They recently shared how they found a safe place to land at RMH BC, a community of support they never expected, and courage in the most unlikely place: a chance meeting with a past RMH BC family.

RMH BC By the Numbers

Last year, families at RMH BC enjoyed 4,800 slices of pizza. They connected from a distance through 27 online music therapy jam sessions. Most importantly, thanks to supporters like you, we were open all 365 days last year to serve families in need. We’ve put together the story of 2020, by the numbers.

	Did you know? Last year, families enjoyed 15,120 fresh and frozen meals. While groups are not currently able to come to the House and cook, generous donors ensure that we are still able to provide homemade meals for families. Learn more about alternate ways to support RMH BC.
